You can apply for this type of license only by the age of 16.

  • Log on to website of state transport corporation from where you got the license
  • Select the registration or license number
  • Enter the registration or license number
  • click on ‘Get Details’
  • Enter your Aadhaar number
  • Submit the One Time Password (OTP) received on your registered mobile number
  • Verify it by clicking on the link
  • You would receive a confirmation message stating, your Aadhaar will get linked to your driving license on successful verification of the details provided.

31.Q:I am a resident of Mumbai, but I lost my driving license in Chennai? What can I do?

Ans:In case of loss of the driving license in Chennai, you will have to obtain a duplicate driving license from the Mumbai RTO. However, you will have to file an FIR in Chennai and submit the copy of the same at the Mumbai RTO.

Ans:To change name in driving license, you will have to submit an application for the same along with the required application fee and a document supporting the change in name.

Ans:No; a light motor vehicle (LMV) license is meant for driving light motor vehicles, which are cars. In order to drive a scooty, one must possess a two-wheeler driving license. This two wheeler license can either be a motor cycle with gear or without gear category.

35.Q:What is MCWOG?

Ans:Motor Cycle Without Gear (MCWOG) is a licence issued for driving motorcycles without a gear. This type of license is for driving gearless vehicles like scooters.

36.Q:How many times can you fail the driving test?

Ans:There is no limit on the number of times an individual can fail a driving test.
